A week ago Charles and I took the kids to Medford, NJ. Medford is a small town near us that has taken pride in its history. Many homes were built in the late 1700's and early 1800's. They have small signs outside these beautiful homes stating who built the home and what their profession was. In December, Medford hosts the Dicken's Christmas Festival. Many of the towns people wear clothes from the 1800's and sing Christmas carols.
There is a live nativity along with free hot chocolate or hot cider.
There are vendors selling all sorts of stuff from chili to nut mixes to kettle corn. There were free horse and carriage rides and a pen with real live reindeer. Many of the old homes now howse antique stores and we browsed a few. It snowed lightly all evening making it very picturesque and fun evening.
